How we choose.
BlackGold Beauty Finds is designed to help shoppers compare choices. The existence of an affiliate commission does not turn retailer copy into our opinion.
1. We begin with a shopper question
Every page must answer a real decision: what to compare, who may benefit, what limitations matter and when a less expensive or simpler alternative may be enough.
2. We label the source of information
- Manufacturer information: specifications and instructions supplied by the brand.
- Retailer information: availability, listed price and shipping shown by the retailer.
- Public feedback: patterns observed in public customer comments, summarized without pretending they are our experience.
- Personal testing: used only when we actually test a product and disclose the conditions.
3. We do not fabricate authority
We do not invent laboratory testing, professional credentials, purchase counts, ratings, scarcity, discounts or personal experience.
4. We publish limitations
A recommendation without limitations is advertising copy, not useful research. Each product page will explain what remains uncertain and who may want a different option.
5. We disclose compensation
When affiliate links become active, a clear disclosure will appear near the recommendation and before the shopper clicks a retailer.
6. We correct errors
Retailer information changes. Pages will show a last-reviewed date and a contact route for corrections.
